Hi, I’m Marva.
I’m a Chartered Manager, leadership development consultant, executive coach, facilitator, and founder of Thrive Anew.
For more than 13 years, I’ve worked with leaders and organizations navigating growth, change, complexity, and transformation. But my work isn’t simply about developing better leaders.
It’s about helping people lead in a way that is both effective and sustainable.
I believe leadership is about more than performance.
The most effective leaders aren’t simply focused on results. They know how to build trust, navigate complexity, lead through change, and sustain themselves along the way.
That’s the work I’m passionate about.
Today, I help organizations strengthen leaders and teams, and I support women in leadership who want to lead with greater clarity, purpose, and sustainability.
Why I Do This Work
For much of my career, I did what many leaders do.
I worked hard, pursued opportunities, accepted greater responsibility, and built a career I was proud of. I led teams, managed complex projects, and carried significant responsibility. On the outside, things looked successful.
Yet like many leaders, I experienced the tension between professional achievement and the rest of life.
The more leaders I worked with, the more I realized I wasn’t alone.
Many capable, committed leaders were carrying enormous responsibility while trying to support their teams, meet expectations, care for their families, and somehow still have something left for themselves.
Over time, I became increasingly interested in a question:
What helps people truly thrive?
Not just professionally, but personally as well.
That question eventually became the foundation for Thrive Anew.
I believe leadership should be effective, but it should also be sustainable.
I believe organizations perform better when they invest in people, not just processes.
And I believe leaders shouldn’t have to choose between success and well-being.
My Journey
My career began in architecture and urban planning, where I developed a deep appreciation for systems, strategy, and long-term thinking.
Over time, my work expanded into leadership, strategic management, policy development, and organizational leadership. I had the privilege of serving in senior leadership roles in the public sector, leading high-performing teams and helping navigate complex organizational challenges.
Those experiences taught me something important:
Most leadership challenges are not simply technical problems to solve.
They’re human challenges.
They’re about communication, trust, relationships, decision-making, and helping people move forward together.
Originally from the British Virgin Islands, I later relocated to the United States and began building the next chapter of my professional journey. That transition reinforced something I had already learned through leadership: growth often requires courage, adaptability, and a willingness to embrace change.
Today, I bring together leadership development, executive coaching, strategic facilitation, and systems thinking to help leaders and organizations navigate their own growth journeys.

How I Work
My approach combines practical leadership frameworks, executive coaching, facilitated learning, and a deep belief that people and performance thrive together.
Whether I’m facilitating a strategy session, leading a leadership development program, supporting organizational change, or coaching an individual leader, my goal is the same:
To help people lead well, live well, and create meaningful impact.
Areas of focus include:
• Leadership Development & Training
• Executive & Leadership Coaching
• Strategic Facilitation
• Change Leadership
• Team Alignment & Communication
• Values-Based Leadership
Beyond Work
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll often find me writing, mentoring, serving in my community, or creating spaces where people can pause, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most.
I’m also the author of Time to Thrive: A Busy Woman’s Devotional Journal, a reflection of many of the same themes that shape my work today: intentional leadership, personal growth, and living with purpose.
Because at the end of the day, leadership isn’t just about what we achieve.
It’s about how we show up, how we influence others, and how we steward the opportunities we’ve been given.
Let’s Connect
